Wisconsin Bankers Association honors Kelly Heroux

Kelly Heroux, president and chief executive officer of Peshtigo National Bank, was recently recognized by the Wisconsin Bankers Association for her service to the industry.

Heroux joined the WBA board of directors in 2023 and served a three-year term.

Bear L. Ritschke

Bear L. Ritschke, 63, passed away unexpectedly April 26, 2026, at home.

Bear was born March 10, 1963, in Oshkosh. He grew up in the Wittenberg area where he attended school. He later made his home in Green Bay where he eventually met his fiancée, Irene. They had a great relationship where they really complemented each other’s presence.

Healthfirst Network expands in northeast Wisconsin

Healthfirst Network has announced the expansion of its reproductive health services into Brown, Oconto, Marinette and Shawano counties, increasing access to affordable, confidential and comprehensive reproductive health care for residents throughout northeastern Wisconsin.

Trucks receive children’s touch

Brooklyn Janssen, 4, of Shawano, peeks out of one of the view ports in the Shawano Police Department’s recently acquired tactical vehicle June 8 during Touch a Truck at Walmart. The event was set up to raise money for the Children’s Miracle Network, and visitors got to meet with folks with the Shawano Police Department, Shawano Area Fire Department, Shawano County Sheriff’s Department and Menominee Tribal Police.
