Northeast Wisconsin Technical College is announcing an academic restructure, marking a significant step forward in how the college delivers education and workforce training across the region. As of July 1, NWTC will recognize its academic affairs and workforce development divisions into six newly established colleges.
Safe Kids Oconto County alerts caregivers to hazards of hot cars
With much of the country still suffering under record-high temperatures, Safe Kids Oconto County is reminding parents that the space inside of a car can quickly rise to deadly temperatures —and that caregivers should never leave children alone in a vehicle, even for a minute. Doing so puts children at serious risk of heatstroke, which has resulted in seven deaths so far this year and at least 1,132 hot car deaths since 1998.
New Menominee Pageant to debut before powwow weekend
For the first time in nearly 50 years, a new Menominee Pageant will be staged at Keshena’s Woodland Bowl. At 9 p.m. July 30, the Menominee Pageant Players will produce an original show that builds upon a Menominee tradition.

It was for me. Stopping immediately, I could not imagine what on earth prompted the officer to pull me over. Did I forget to turn my lights on? It was getting dusky. Did I speed through town?

Clintonville cruises to BABA win over Tilleda
East/West Division July 13 Clintonville 16, Tilleda 3 (7 inn.) Jaden Doornink went the distance and struck out nine batters to get the win on the mound for the A’s. Zach Schafer, Austin Hoffman and Turner Doornink led Clintonville with three hits each, while Andy Lederer added a three-run home run. Landon Kroening had two hits to lead Tilleda at the plate.
3 Oconto Falls girls earn softball honors
Two Oconto Falls girls were named to the North Eastern Conference all-conference second team for softball, and a teammate earned honorable mention status. Junior Amelia Danielczak was named to the second team as a catcher, and Katelyn Kurek was honored for her outfield play. Honorable mention was earned by Izzy Otto in the infield.
