AROUND THE COMMUNITY: Tournament of Roses leaders visiting Pulaski

An invitation to the world-renowned Rose Parade is quite an honor for any music program, particularly from a small rural community such as Pulaski. As a part of the experience, the Pulaski community will host the 2024 Pasadena Tournament of Roses president and leading lady, Alex and Paula Aghajanian, as well as the executive vice president and spouse, Ed and Lisa Morales.
There are plenty of reasons to volunteer
We believe we have the chance to succeed in most ventures; however, it is a little more challenging to actually have the time, energy, commitment, or resources to actually make that happen. We know there are many reasons and opportunities to volunteer in Shawano and Menominee counties; however, sometimes it is difficult to know if this is something that is right for you.
Humane society gets its own barn quilt
Shawano County’s 403rd barn quilt is on display at the Shawano County Humane Society. It has been sponsored in memory of Patricia and Sally Dillenburg. The humane society was started in 1992 and was located on Airport Road.

CLUB NOTES: Shawano Area Writers
Shawano Area Writers met May 17 in the Veslak Room at the Shawano Public Library. President Tom Thornstenson opened the meeting. John Mutter read the treasurer’s report. Dues were then collected for the year. It was the time of year to elect officers.
