Margaret A. “Marge” Schill, 72, of Shawano, formerly of Milwaukee, passed away Saturday, Feb. 22, 2014, at her home. Born on July 10, 1941, in Milwaukee, she was the daughter of the late Enis F. “Frank” and Sylvia G. (Lee) Brauer. Marge raised dogs and ran the One De at a Time Kennel.

Deborah C. White, 65, of Shawano, formerly of Keshena, passed away Saturday, Feb. 22, 2014, at a local nursing home. Born on Nov. 4, 1948, in Keshena, she was the daughter of the late Henry C. and Adell (Hoeffs) Fredenberg. Deborah was raised in the Keshena and Shawano areas. After graduating from high school, she furthered her education with a nursing degree. Deborah worked at St.

Ethel L. Hass, 87, of Clintonville, and formerly of Tigerton, passed away Thursday, Feb. 20, 2014, at Greentree Health & Rehabilitation Center, Clintonville. Ethel Lorraine Hass was born on April 19, 1926, in the town of Germania, Shawano County, to Louise Hass. She graduated from Tigerton High School and spent most of her life in the Tigerton area. Ethel worked in various jobs at factories in Wausau, Green Bay and Appleton.

Elaine F. Jones, 75, of Bonduel, passed away with her family by her side on Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2014, at the Shawano Medical Center. Funeral services for Elaine Jones will be held on Thursday, Feb. 27, at 1 p.m. at Schroeder-Mickelson Funeral Service of Shawano. Pastor Marty Black will officiate. Interment will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery of Shawano in the spring.

Jeffrey A. “Joper” Fish, 52, of Green Bay, formerly of Neopit, started his journey to the Spirit World on Saturday, Feb. 22, 2014, in Green Bay. Jeff was born March 5, 1961, in Shawano, a son of Mary (Snake) Fish and the late Raymond B. Fish Sr.

Earl W. Eake, 92, of Shawano, died Friday, Feb. 21, 2014, at Shawano Medical Center in Shawano. He was born June 17, 1921, in Neenah to the late Leonard and Linda (Mueller) Eake. Earl served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. After his honorable discharge from the U.S. Navy, Earl married Mabel Louise Hoffman on March 31, 1942, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Neenah.

Wisconsin Secretary of Agriculture Ben Brancel will be the featured speaker at a farm appreciation luncheon Monday at Clintonville Lanes, 250 County Road I. Brancel was appointed secretary of agriculture, trade, and consumer protection in 1997 by Gov. Tommy Thompson. Brancel ran a dairy farm for more than two decades and now raises registered Angus and Hereford beef cattle.

Shawano Police Department Feb. 24 Police logged 19 incidents, including the following: Harassment — Police investigated a Facebook harassment complaint at Shawano Community Middle School, 1050 S. Union St. Accident — Police responded to a property damage accident at Richmond Street and Lakeland Road. Suspicious — Police responded to a suspicious person complaint in the 600 block of North Smalley Street. Shawano County Sheriff’s Department Feb.

City of Clintonville officials are concerned that residents are not following the city’s order to keep water running in homes and businesses to avoid frozen water lines. Administrator Lisa Kuss said she cannot emphasize enough how important it is for residents to adhere to the city’s request until notified otherwise. The city has dealt with close to 60 frozen properties, Kuss said.
