Jean K. Perschbacher

Jean Kathryn Perschbacher, 62, of the town of Green Valley, passed away Sunday, Sept. 15, 2013, in Green Bay. Born on Dec. 5, 1950, in Shawano, she was the daughter of the late Roland and Dorothy (Brown) Wudtke. Jean lived all her life in the town of Green Valley. She attended school in Advance and graduated from Bonduel High School. She later worked at Green Bay Cheese and at her parents’ Advance Hardware Store. On Nov.
Frances Marie Lyles
Frances Marie Lyles, 92, of Shawano, passed away Sunday, Sept. 15, 2013, in Shawano. Born on June 22, 1921, in Devil’s Lake, N.D., she was one of 12 children born to the late Nickolas and Monica (Baron) Karlinsky. As a teenager, Frances and her family moved to the Milwaukee area, where she graduated from high school and later worked at Reliable Knitting. On Nov. 3, 1944, she was united in marriage to Ralph J. Lyles in Milwaukee.
Leslie Larson
Leslie ‘Swede’ Larson, 90, Eland, died on Saturday, Sept. 14, 2013, at his home under the care of his family and Ministry Hospice. He was born on Sept. 28, 1922, in Eland, the son of the late Louis and Jessie (Nichols) Larson. On April 26, 1949, Swede was united in marriage to Susan Szutkowski at St. Philomena Catholic Church, Birnamwood. She survives.

Kathleen “Sister Girl” Pewewardy, 66, formerly of Minneapolis, currently residing in Shawano, died at ManorCare on Friday, Sept.

Lorraine R. Splitgerber, 89, of Shawano, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday morning, Sept. 17, 2013, at her home. Funeral service arrangements are pending and will be announced later. Jacqueline Sanapaw
Jacqueline “Jackie” “Smurf” Sanapaw, 35, of Neopit, passed away Sunday, Sept. 15, 2013, in Green Bay. Born on July 31, 1978, in Antigo, she was the daughter of Jonathan and Nanette (Pamonicutt) Corn Sr. Jackie was a graduate of Menominee High School and later worked at the Menominee and Stockbridge casinos as a cashier. She married Thomas “TJ” Sanapaw on Feb. 14, 2004, in Keshena.
William Stuart Woodward
On Friday, Sept. 13, 2013, at Angel’s Touch Assisted Living in De Pere, William Stuart Woodward, a Green Bay businessman and longtime summer resident of Shawano, died precisely as he would have wished: surrounded by his wife of 57 years and his children. “Bill,” as he was universally known, was a victim of metastatic melanoma, detected only four months earlier.
Robert Heckl
Robert Heckl, 56, Suring, passed away Friday, Sept. 13, 2013, at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay. He was born Feb. 7, 1957, to the late Robert and Wedad (Kouri) Heckl. Bob married Rose Boerschinger on May 7, 1977, at St. Michael Catholic Church in Suring. He enjoyed golfing and bowling, and many of his friends would remember him as an ambidextrous bowler. Bob could comfort any screaming baby with his belly, but he wouldn’t change their diaper.
Marshall E. Jahnke
Marshall E. Jahnke, 93, Krakow, died suddenly Saturday, Sept. 14, 2013, at home of natural causes. He was born Oct. 15, 1919, to the late William and Louise (Grady) Jahnke. Marshall was raised on the family farm and graduated from Oconto Falls High School. On June 21, 1947, he married Arnita Schroeder, and together they owned and operated a family farm in the town of Chase for many years.
Robert Beaumia
Robert “Plumbob” Beaumia, 83, Oconto Falls, died Tuesday evening, Sept. 10, 2013, at home, surrounded by his family. He was born June 26, 1930, in Oconto Falls to Clarence and Anna (Young) Beaumia. He attended St. Anthony Catholic Grade School and, as a young man, served in the U.S. Army as an MP during the Korean War.
