SALUTE: Shawano residents help spread Christmas cheer
To the editor: I am writing to thank Shawano​​​-area residents for sharing the true meaning of Christmas with children in need this past holiday season. Generosity throughout contributed to a successful shoebox gift collection season at drop-off locations for the Samaritan’s Purse project Operation Christmas Child. Across the U.S., the project collected over 9.3 million shoebox gifts in 2022.
Cavity prevention requires more than brushing
“Brush more.” “Floss more.” Don’t those words sound familiar? Most of us are trying to do the right thing, but even after more brushing and flossing, we still get those stubborn cavities. Why is this? Well, to understand how to prevent a cavity, it is important to first understand what a cavity is. A cavity is also known as “tooth decay,” which is the destruction of your enamel. How does enamel get negatively impacted?
