William B. ‘Papa Lu’ Lueck

William B. “Papa Lu” Lueck, 81, of the town of Wescott, passed away Thursday, March 5, 2020, in Seymour. Bill was born March 16, 1938, in Neenah, the only child of Bernard and Constance (Hahl) Lueck. He was a graduate of St. Mary’s High School in Menasha, Class of 1956. On June 24, 1961, Bill was united in marriage to Helen Malischke in Milwaukee. He was a member of St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church in Cecil.
Mary C. Fanning
When Mary C. Fanning, 73, died March 3, 2020, the light dimmed and the music stopped. She was born in Shawano on May 13, 1946, to Kenneth O. and Lillian Bergsbaken Sr. She was the youngest sibling of Sally and Kenneth O. Bergsbaken Jr. She graduated from Shawano High School where she garnered top grades and was second chair clarinetist. She attended the University of Wisconsin, majoring in English with a minor in music.
Eugene R. Casper
Eugene R. “Geno” Casper, 69, of Shawano, died peacefully in his sleep at his Lehigh Acres home in Florida. Gene was born on May 19, 1950, in Chicago, son of the late Maurice and Bernice (Clark) Casper. Gene served in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged. Gene met his wife, Sharon Cochrane, in Chicago. They moved to Shawano, where he built his own home.
Kenneth K. Hagen
Kenneth K. Hagen, 81, of Shawano, passed away Thursday, March 5, 2020, at Evergreen Health Care Center. He was born June 11, 1938, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, to the late Edwin and Ruth (Linner) Hagen. Ken went on to proudly serve his country in the United States Army; in addition, he went on to serve in the U.S. Army Reserve for seven years. On Feb. 22, 1957, Ken was united in marriage to Joyce Fahrendorff in Missouri.
Raymond Schmidt
Raymond “Ray” Schmidt, 95, of Split Rock, passed away Saturday, March 7, 2020, at The Pines Post-Acute and Memory Care in Embarrass. Beil-Didier Funeral Home in Tigerton is assisting the family.
Eugene R. Casper

Mary Ellen Hanson
Mary Ellen Hanson, 71, of Gresham, passed away on Tuesday, March 3, 2020. Mary was born on Sept. 24, 1948, in Oconto to the late Alvin and Violet (Peterson) Berns. On Aug. 4, 1973, Mary was united in marriage to Chester Hanson Jr. He preceded her in death on November 11, 1991. She attended the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh where she received her Bachelor of Arts in education.
