Barbara Host Marlier, 76, went in quiet peace to her God, her blessed virgin Mary, her many relatives, friends and other saints Monday, Sept. 7, 2020. In her last days, she was surrounded by her husband, her children and grandchildren while at Appleton ThedaCare Regional Medical Center and in hospice care at the same facility. She was born Barbara Martha Host in Milwaukee on Aug.

Allan C. “Bud” Luniak, 87, of Shawano, passed away Thursday, March 5, 2020. Al was born Sept. 21, 1932, in Shawano, a son of the late Frank and Ida (Bucholz) Luniak. He graduated from Marion High School and University of Wisconsin-Madison with a degree in civil engineering. Following his graduation, Al served his country in the U.S. Navy. In his earlier years, Al enjoyed snowmobiling and fishing up north with friends.

Robert Charles Thimke, 97, of Shawano, passed away at 12:12 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 31, 2020, surrounded by his family and his companion, Shorts the cat. Bob was born Sept. 26, 1922, to the late William F. and Emma (Engel) Thimke in Shawano. Bob grew up with his brother, Harry, and his sister, Ruth, during the Depression, residing on Lafayette Street and having lots of adventures with his gregarious neighborhood friends.

Rickey Milanowski, 60, of Belle Plaine, passed away Sunday, Aug. 30, 2020. Ricky was born Aug. 27, 1960, to the late Edward and Lillian (Wrochota) Milanowski in Milwaukee. Rickey was employed by Aarowcast from 2011 until present and also owned Ed and Lil’s Bar. He enjoyed building remote control cars. Rickey had natural mechanical abilities and was an electronics whiz.

Justin M. Diemel, 24, of Navarino, was taken, along with his big brother, Nick, from his family on July 21, 2019.

Doris R. Hoffman, 96, of the Town of Waukechon, Shawano, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2020. Doris was born on July 14, 1924, to the late Emil and Ella (Schachtschneider) Habeck in Clintonville. She graduated from Clintonville High School in 1942. Doris worked at FWD in Clintonville until she was married. On Aug. 12, 1950, Doris was united in marriage to Martin Hoffman at St. Peters Lutheran Church in Pella Opening.
