Jeffry J. Berton

Jeffry James Berton, a man who spent decades building bridges from his younger days, died on Feb. 4, 2020. He was 77. In the end, Jeffry discovered he was loved by God, family and friends, but getting there was difficult. Jeffry was born on Oct. 18, 1942, to George C. and Lucille M. (Rusch) Berton. He was fifth born in a family of 12 children, named by his mother after Jeff Chandler, a movie star she liked very much at the time.

Roger A. King, 73, of Shawano, passed away on Monday, Feb. 3, 2020. Roger was born in Tomahawk, on June 16, 1946, to the late Harry and Verna (Hess) King. After Roger’s graduation from Reedsburg High School, he attended University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. On Sept. 2, 1967, Roger was united in marriage to Barbara Maas at the First Presbyterian Church in Merrill. He enlisted in the United States Army, serving in Ft.
Todd M. Wilson
Todd Michael Wilson, 44, of Bayfield, Colorado, passed away in the Mercy Hospice House after a brief and intense struggle with colorectal cancer on Jan. 21, 2020. Todd was born in Beaver Dam on June 14, 1975, to David and Lauren Wilson. In 1978, his family moved to Shawano, where Todd spent his growing years. He graduated from Shawano Community High School in 1993.
Robert Chicks
Robert Alan Chicks, 65, of Harbor Springs, Michigan, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, Jan. 23, 2020. Bob was born Aug. 1, 1954, in Shawano to Sarah Wanda (nee Miller) and Clarence Alfred Chicks. His grandparents were Aubyn and Tressie Miller and Alice (nee Davids) and Harry Chicks. Bob was an enrolled member of the Stockbridge-Munsee Band of Mohican Indians.

John A. Torborg, 69, of the town of Belle Plaine, Shawano County, passed away at his home Monday morning, Jan. 27, 2020, after a courageous 3½-year fight with cancer. John was born Nov. 24, 1950, in Clintonville as the son of the late Albert and Betty (Zellmer) Torborg. He graduated from Clintonville High School in 1969, where he still holds records from his days on the Truckers basketball court. After high school, John attended St.
Anna D. Magnin
Anna D. Magnin, the unwavering spirit and foundation of our family, passed away Jan. 21, 2020, after a long and great life. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 8, 2020, at Rembs Funeral Home, Marshfield, where a visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. Saturday until service time. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Oconto Falls. Anna was born Dec. 29, 1926, in Tempe, Arizona, daughter of Hugh and Pearl (Tufts) Magill.
