Jeffrey J. Dudek

Fair warning. This will not be your typical obituary because Jeffrey J. Dudek was most certainly not a typical man. He came into this world on May 10, 1971, as a tiny little preemie, born to Bob and Alice (Westphal) Dudek. A high risk pregnancy and birth; Alice was advised to not have any more babies after this one. The mold was broken.
Donna Jean Heling
Donna Jean Heling, 86, of the Town of Waukechon, passed away on Friday, May 24, 2019, at The Pines in Clintonville. She was born on July 20, 1932, to the late George and Mary (Rosenow) Maltbey in Shawano. Donna attended and graduated from Shawano High School. She was united in marriage to Vernon Heling on Feb. 4, 1956, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Belle Plaine. Donna was a long-time member of St. John’s Lutheran Church.
Ervin E. Wetzel
Ervin E. Wetzel departed this life May 21, 2019, at Shawano Health Services. He was born the fourth of five children to parents Henry and Katharina (Magewske) Wetzel in the Town of Gillett, Oconto County, on Aug. 24, 1919. He was baptized and confirmed at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Gillett, and graduated from Gillett High School. He served during World War II in the U.S.
Shirley M. Nordwig
Shirley M. Nordwig, 80, of Clintonville, passed away peacefully surrounded by family, friends, and special dog Otis on Thursday, May 23, 2019, at Care Partner Assisted Living, Clintonville. Shirley Mae Malueg was born on Sept. 6, 1938, in the Town of Grant, Shawano County, the daughter of Edward and Dora (Arndt) Malueg. She spent her entire youth growing up in Caroline. She was a Marion High School graduate.
Shirley M. Gormley
Shirley M. Gormley, 89, of Amherst, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 16, 2019, at Atrium Post Acute Care in Stevens Point. She was born on Jan. 27, 1930, in Wittenberg, daughter of Albert and Eunice (Johnson) Olsen. In her early years, Shirley worked as a machinist for two different companies, but most notably she was a devoted mother and grandmother to her family. Her first marriage was to Arthur Schaar on Oct.
James E. Matsche
James E. Matsche, 80, of Birnamwood, died on Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2019, at Theda Care Medical Center, Shawano. He was born on May 12, 1938, in Antigo, the son of the late Frank and Theresa (Resch) Matsche. On Aug. 13, 1960, Jim was united in marriage to Germaine Ostrowski at St. Florian’s Catholic Church, Hatley. She survives. Jim was a custodian at the Birnamwood School for some time and farmed for many years until his retirement.
Susan Richter
Susan “Susie” Richter, of Wittenberg, died peacefully on Saturday, Feb. 9, 2019, at Rosemary Manor of Mattoon under the care of their wonderful staff. She was 77 years old. She was born on Jan. 26, 1942, in the town of Franzen, a daughter of the late Daniel and Genevieve Garski. She married Richard Richter on Nov. 10, 1962, in Rosholt. He preceded her in death on Dec. 23, 2015. Susan and her husband farmed for many years.
