Nature bathing events scheduled on Mountain-Bay State Trail

As part of the 30th Anniversary celebration of the Mountain-Bay State Trail, area residents and visitors are invited to experience a series of guided nature bathing along the trail walks led by outdoor enthusiast Nikole Koszarek.

Native American Plant Medicines Walk planned on Mountain-Bay State Trail

Community members are invited to explore the healing plants growing along the Mountain-Bay State Trail during a Native American Plant Medicines Walk led by author and herbal educator Misty Cook from 6-7 p.m. June 30. A rain date is scheduled for July 1.

Sacred Heart Catholic School announces fourth quarter middle school honor roll

Sacred Heart Catholic School celebrates the academic achievements of its middle school students for the fourth quarter. These students have demonstrated exceptional dedication, responsibility and perseverance in their studies, living out the mission to uphold high academic standards and grow in the gifts God has given them.

Students in grades 5-8 are recognized for academic excellence based on the following standards:

Corn condition reported 80% good to excellent in Wisconsin

Wisconsin had 3.4 days suitable for fieldwork statewide for the week ending June 14, according to the USDA’s National Agricultural Statistics Service.

Rain was welcomed across most of the state, although there were scattered reports of storm damage.

Topsoil moisture condition rated 2% very short, 14% short, 74% adequate and 10% surplus.

Monmouth College

Leah Allan of Oconto has been named to the Dean’s List at Monmouth College for the spring 2026 semester. The students on this list achieved a GPA of at least 3.5 on a 4.0 scale while taking at least 3.0 academic credits during the semester.
