Veterans Day program details announced

The Allied Vets Council will hold a Veterans Day program at 11 a.m. Nov. 11 at the Shawano County Courthouse, 311 N. Main St.

The ceremony will begin with the sounding of the bells and fire whistle.

Veteran Dennis Bohm will greet those who gather, and the Rev. Andrew Zobel, senior pastor at St.James Lutheran Church, will offer the invocation.

Veterans invited to Oconto Falls schools’ programs

Staff and students at Oconto Falls High School, 210 N. Farm Road, Oconto Falls, invite veterans to their annual Veterans Day program Nov. 11.

There will be a small reception for veterans beginning at 8:30 a.m. in the OFHS Commons, followed by a high school assembly and program from 9-10 a.m. Veterans should feel free to bring family members or other guests to the program.

Pulaski Area Historical Society hosts ‘Meet the Veterans Day’ event

The Pulaski Area Historical Society invites the community to a special “Meet the Veterans Day” program from 1-3 p.m. Nov. 8 at the Pulaski Museum, 129 W. Pulaski St.

The event is free and open to the public.

• Dennis W. Hogan, 27, Green Bay, had his probation revoked Feb. 19 on a 2023 conviction for burglary and possession of THC (second or subsequent offense). After several delays while waiting for an attorney to be appointed, Judge Katherine Sloma sentenced Hogan Oct. 27 to 18 months in prison followed by five years of extended supervision with conditions.

• Brian A. Blasing, 35, an Oconto man serving a sentence at Dodge Correctional Institution in Waupun, pleaded guilty Oct. 17 to first-degree reckless homicide through delivery of drugs. Judge Michael Judge sentenced him Oct. 29 to 12 years in prison followed by eight years of extended supervision with conditions.
