Quite by accident we learned that my uncle was gravely ill. We believe it was a God-thing. Sometimes events occur that, to our human minds, are coincidental, when in fact, they had been divinely arranged. My sister was waiting her turn at a dentist appointment and struck up a conversation with a gal she was casually acquainted with. Somehow the chat wound its way around to our uncle and she mentioned he was not well.

Eugene “Gene” Dedolph, 97, of Tigerton, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 14, 2013, at the Homme Home of Wittenberg. Eugene Gordon Dedolph was born on Jan. 18, 1916, in the village of Tigerton to Edward and Ella (Kersten) Dedolph. At a young age his family moved to the Bowler area, where he was raised and attended school.
