Richard F. Onesti

Richard F. Onesti, 71, of Eland, died on Sunday, May 16, 2021, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. Richard was born Nov. 25, 1949, in Shawano, the son of Scivio and Loretta (Kranig) Onesti. On Nov. 15, 1969, Richard was united in marriage to Susan Szutkowski in Oshkosh. Richard taught English, composition and science fiction at the D.C. Everest School District for 18 years. He was also instrumental in starting the school district’s computer lab.
Myrtle V. James
Myrtle V. James, 99, of Shawano, passed away on Monday, May 17, 2021. Myrtle was born Jan. 7, 1922, to the late Albert and Amanda (Reinke) Voelz in Tilleda. She graduated from Bowler High School. Myrtle was united in marriage to Alfred DeBra, who preceded her in death, in 1950. She later married Emry James, who preceded her in death, in 1966. Myrtle was a hostess at King Cole and The Inn in Dayton, Ohio. She returned to Shawano in 1992.

Alice A. Barnes (Paiser), 73, of St. Francis, passed away May 11, 2021, at Ignite Medical Resort in Oak Creek. She was born Sept. 5, 1947, in Shawano to Emma (maiden name Kleeman) Paiser and Arlie Paiser. Alice was an antiques associate at Travis Auction Galleries and caretaker of many. Arvin A. Block, 85, of Eagle, passed away on Sunday, May 9, 2021, in Waukesha. He was born Dec. 14, 1935, in Birnamwood, to the late Charles and Frieda (Fandrey) Block. Arvin served his country honorably in the United States Army. He was united in marriage to Karen L. Marquette on Feb. 14, 1987, in West Allis. Arvin was an extremely hard worker and loved his jobs as a roofer and a driver, then station clerk for Milwaukee County Transit.
