Bridget Matarrese was born in Shawano on June 25, 1959, to Mary Breneman and Douglas Burris. She attended Shawano schools and graduated from Shawano High School in 1977. It has been said that, back in the day, she was the disco queen at the best (only) disco in Shawano. She married Rick Matarrese in Atlanta, Georgia, in 1989, and they had one child, Kristina (Tina) Marie Matarrese in 1990.

Frederick “Fritzie” M. Zimmerman, 76, of the Town of Pella, passed away at his home Thursday morning, April 8, 2021. Frederick Michael Zimmerman was born April 19, 1944, in Pella as the son of the late William and Hildegard (Fredrick) Zimmerman. He graduated from Marion High School in 1962 and was united in marriage to Marsha Ankerson on Dec. 15, 1963.

Guy Michael Fredenberg, 65, of Shawano, passed away on Thursday, April 8, 2021. Guy was born March 9, 1956, to the late Henry and Adell (Hoeffs) Fredenberg in Shawano. He worked for the Shawano County Courthouse in housekeeping for many years before working at the Menominee Tribal Clinic and then at the College of Menominee Nation, retiring in 2014. Guy was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church in Keshena.

Stephen F. DeTerra, 68, passed away April 6, 2021. Family and friends may visit at Cotter Funeral Home, 860 N. Webster Ave., De Pere, on Friday, April 16, from 4-7 p.m. Visitation will continue on Saturday, April 17, at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 720 N. Baird St., Green Bay, from 10-11:15 a.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. with the Rev. Jose Lopez officiating.

Bernice Ann Montoure, 78, of Wittenberg, formerly of Tilleda, passed away in Wittenberg on Saturday, April 10, 2021. Bernice was born Nov. 3, 1942, to the late Benjamin and Eva (Hoppe) Kraft in Tilleda. She was a registered nurse and worked at multiple hospitals, including Shawano Hospital, St. Mary’s Hospital, Bellin Hospital and St. Vincent’s Hospital. She lived most of her life in Shawano and in Seymour.

Roger R. O’Brien, 75, of the Town of Larrabee, passed away Monday, April 5, 2021. at Birch Hill Health Services in Shawano. The Eberhardt-Stevenson Funeral Home and Crematory in Clintonville is assisting with the arrangements.
