Coach James Robert (Jim) Allbaugh, of Shawano (formerly of Richland Center), gave us an “Irish goodbye” on Thursday, Oct. 15, 2026, making a peaceful departure from this world during the seventh inning stretch of Game 4 of the Brewers National League Championship Series sweep over the Dodgers sending Milwaukee to the World Series, which seemed odd as he was mostly of German heritage.

Louis “Corky” William Flynn, 96 (five days short of 97), of Suring, passed away Oct. 10, 2026, at Suring Health and Rehabilitation Center in Suring.

He was born Oct. 15, 1929, to the late William and Anna (Baumgartner) Flynn in Suring. Corky graduated from Mountain High School with the Class of 1947. He joined the United States Army, serving from 1947-49.

Doris E. Foth, 83, of Wittenberg, fell asleep in Christ on Sunday, Oct. 11, 2026, at Applegate Terrace in Wausau.

Doris was born March 14, 1943, in Milwaukee, to Arthur and Evelyn (Finkler) Hedrick. On Jan. 29, 1964, she was united in marriage to Kenneth Foth at St. Paul Lutheran Church parsonage in Wittenberg. Together, they shared 62 years of marriage, building a life filled with friends, faith and cherished memories.

Harriet Hammond, 85, of Green Bay, loving grandmother, mother, sister and friend, joined her husband, Doug Hammond, on Oct. 12, 2026.

Jacqueline “Jackie” Echtner, 78, formerly of Navarino, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 6, 2026, at The Cottages in Shawano.

A visitation celebrating Jackie’s life will be held Tuesday, Oct. 20, from 9-11 a.m. at Ascension Lutheran Church in Navarino. A funeral service will follow the visitation, with a graveside service afterward. Burial will take place at Union Cemetery.
