On May 29, 2021, Elaine Doris Smith, 90, answered the Lord with arms outreached as He called her name and said, “Come home.” Elaine had been suffering with dementia for many years. Elaine was born March 9, 1931, to Louis and Evelyn (Raasch) Bartz in the township of Belle Plaine. Elaine loved music. Her instrument of choice was the lap steel guitar.
Patricia Y. Wallace
Patricia Yvonne Wallace, 89, Cecil, passed away Tuesday, May 25, 2021, at a local hospital. She was born July 16, 1931, in Milwaukee, daughter to the late Anton and Agnes Zganjar. She married Franklin Wallace on July 21, 1951, in Milwaukee. She started married life as a housewife, then waitressed and went to nursing school at 39 years old, receiving her LPN degree.
Rachel Lynn Wussow
Rachel Lynn Wussow went to be with Jesus on May 27, 2021, surrounded by family and friends. She spent over half her life fighting the effects of cancer. Rachel Lynn was born on Oct. 17, 1979, in Shawano to Dale and Linda (Brodhagen) Wussow. She was raised on the Wussow family sesquicentennial farm. Rachel was a lifetime member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. She was confirmed in her faith and graduated from St.
Albert J. Koeppel
Albert ‘Al’ John Koeppel, 67, of Wittenberg, died on Wednesday, May 19, 2021, after surviving the devastating effects of both pancreatic cancer and its treatments for two years and three months. He faced each setback with incredible strength and courage. Al was born on Nov. 8, 1953, in Green Bay, to Austin and Alice (Zegers) Koeppel.
Iris D. Schroeder
Iris Dawn Schroeder, Rockford, Illinois, died on her birthday, May 16, 2021, from the COVID-19 virus. Iris was born in the Town of Wescott to Glynn W. Schroeder and Ruth (Vorpahl) Schroeder. Iris graduated from Gillett High School in 1955. Iris moved to Rockford, Illinois, and worked at several manufacturing jobs at Testor Chemical and Barber Coleman. She moved to Oshkosh in 1975 where she attended cosmetology school.
William Klemp
William “Billy” Klemp passed away on April 12, 2021, at the age of 74 while living his life to the fullest with his closest friends. Billy had a gift for listening and a compassionate heart. He completed his bachelor’s degree in social change and development at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay.
Ruth M. Henke
Ruth M. Henke, 95, of Shawano, formerly of Arizona, passed away on Monday, May 17, 2021. Ruth was born Jan. 4, 1926, to the late William and Rose (Stillman) Wiskow in the Town of Seneca. She attended school in Marion. Ruth was united in marriage to Otto Bratz, who preceded her in death, in July 1962. She was united in marriage to Alfred Henke, who preceded her in death, in June 2004. Ruth was tough, feisty and a hard worker.
