Terry Leigh Knitt Sr., 52, of Scott, Louisiana, formerly of Clintonville, passed away on Wednesday, June 21, 2017, in Lafayette, Louisiana. Graveside services for Terry will be held at 10:45 a.m. Saturday, July 1, 2017, at Bethlehem Lutheran Cemetery in the town of Pella. Marshall F. Moede
Marshall F. “Mike” Moede, 85, of Shawano, passed away on Tuesday, June 27, 2017, in Appleton. Born on May 15, 1932, in the town of Herman, Mike was the son of the late Gustave and Leona (Peterman) Moede. He was drafted into the United States Army during the Korean Conflict, receiving the Purple Heart before his honorable discharge. On June 9, 1956, Mike was united in marriage to Beatrice Suehring.
Douglas ‘Doug’ Edward Prickette
“For we know that if the earthly tent we live in is destroyed, we have a building from God, an eternal house in heaven, not built by human hands.” — 2 Cor. 5:1 Doug Prickette, a lifelong resident of Shawano, realized his dream on Tuesday morning, July 30, 2013, by returning to our Heavenly Father. He was born on April 3, 1941, in Appleton to the late Walter (Bud) and Anne (Thurner) Prickette.
Sandra Ruth Banaszynski
Sandra Ruth “Sandy” Banaszynski, 75, of Cecil, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, July 23, surrounded by her family after a long battle with diabetes. Born July 20, 1938, in Oconto Falls to the late Elmer and Toddy Krueger, Sandy graduated from Oconto Falls High School with the class of 1956. On Sept. 8, 1957, she was united in marriage to Ben Banaszynski at Assumption BVM of Pulaski.
Lois May Schmidt
Lois May Schmidt (Berholtz), 86, passed away peacefully at her home on Shawano Lake. She was born March 24, 1927, in Appleton, the daughter of the late John and Tina Berholtz. Lois married Earl J. Schmidt on Oct. 12, 1946, in Appleton. She loved to fish on Shawano Lake. She also loved to bowl for many years in Appleton and in Shawano. She enjoyed her home on the lake since retiring in 1984.
Milton R. Nordwig
Milton Roy Nordwig, 93, of Leopolis, passed away Wednesday, July 24, 2013, at a local nursing home. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 27, 2013, at the St. John’s Lutheran Church-Hermansfort with the Rev. Roland Golz and Vicar Steve Conradt officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service.
Donald J. Kern
Donald J. Kern, 79, town of Elderon, died Tuesday, July 23, 2013, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. He was born on Oct. 27, 1933, in DeWitt County, Ill., the son of the late Theodore and Martha (Nettles) Kern. Donald was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in the Korean War. On June 30, 1956, Donald was united in marriage to Laura Hart in Sidney, Mont. She preceded him in death on May 5, 1985.
