Victoria Marie Kiar, 78, of Shawano, passed away Monday, Feb. 3, 2014, in Appleton. Born on Aug. 29, 1935, in Keshena, she was the daughter of the late Isaac and Augustine (Duquain) Jacobs. Victoria was raised in the Keshena area, where she attended St. Joseph Grade School. After grade school, she graduated from Haskell High School in Lawrence, Kan. She later married Kenneth Kiar in Milwaukee.

Keith F. Lawrenz, 53, of Shawano, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2014, at a local nursing home. Born on March 4, 1960, in Port Washington, he was the son of Viola (Perkins) Lawrenz and the late Jacob “Jake” Lawrenz. Keith graduated from Bonduel High School in 1978. On March 29, 1991, he was united in marriage to Patty McKenna. Keith was a hard worker who spent most of his career building boats.

Felony theft A former Shawano woman has been charged with a felony count of theft for allegedly stealing more than $6,000 from the account of a developmentally disabled man for whom she had been appointed guardian.
