Shawano County’s barn quilt project recently reached another historic milestone with the addition of the 400th. The quilt is on a barn owned by Steven Krueger and Mark Hebert at N5701 Lakeview Road, Bonduel.

Jeremiah Cottrell-Duebner was recently appointed to be the pastor of Bonduel Zion and Gillett Tabor United Methodist churches. “It is truly my honor to serve not only one but two churches within the beautiful Shawano and Oconto counties of Wisconsin,” Cottrell-Duebner said. “I am a third-generation pastor in my family. My parents were and are still very active with my home church, Oneida UMC.

The Better Business Bureau is partnering with Amazon to drive an education campaign aimed at helping consumers spot impersonation scams during this holiday season (BBB.org/ImpersonationScams). This scam tactic occurs when a scammer pretends to be a trustworthy organization or individual to steal a person’s money or personal information.

Sacred Heart Catholic School welcomed nearly 50 veterans during its Veterans Day program Nov. 11. The day started with a special breakfast prepared by food services manager Tanya Myerchin and her mother, Melea Norton, prior to the ceremony, which featured a packed gymnasium. The ceremony began with the AmVets Post 10 posting the colors, followed the singing of the National Anthem and the Pledge of Allegiance led by our School Choir.
