Oconto County Department of Health and Human Services has announced that nine Oconto County child care providers completed the Healthy Loving Environment program for 2022. With respiratory viruses such as COVID-19, influenza and RSV circulating at high levels nationwide, and in Wisconsin, ThedaCare is urging community members to protect themselves this holiday season. “With increasing cases of the three viruses, the season has the potential to be severe, especially for young children and older adults,” said Dr. Zachary Baeseman, ThedaCare family medicine practitioner.

HSHS St. Vincent Hospital will host free, virtual classes this winter to prepare mothers and families for breastfeeding success. The classes will be offered via Zoom and led by a certified lactation consultant from HSHS St. Vincent Hospital’s Women and Infants Center. The classes are from 5:30-8 p.m. Jan. 10, Feb.

Junior Achievement of Wisconsin (JA) recently announced that BMO donated $115,000 to provide financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and career readiness learning experiences for students across Wisconsin. The mission of Junior Achievement of Wisconsin is to inspire and prepare young people to succeed.
