College of Menominee Nation Melissa Wescott has been chosen as the College of Menominee Nation’s Student of the Year. Wescott is a first-generation college student pursuing a degree in substance abuse counseling. Wescott, a mother of five children, has navigated personal adversities during her time as a student at CMN, including difficulties finding childcare and time for her school work.

Webb St., will provide custom-made clothing and accessories for men, women and children. The grand opening is set for 10 a.m. Feb. 25. “Originally, I started my boutique just online in 2020 during COVID,” said owner Kay Koehler, of Wausau.

Outstanding volunteers are again being recognized and honored for their work through Shawano’s Celebration of Giving, presented by the Shawano Area Community Foundation (SACF) and NEW Media. This will be the 12th year the Celebration of Giving recognizes the spirit of volunteerism in Shawano County.
