Wittenberg-Birnamwood swimmers captured four gold medals, five silver medals and three bronze medals at the Bay Conference meet Oct. 30 in Clintonville. The Chargers placed fourth among seven teams.

Shawano placed fifth, with swimmers earning a pair of bronze awards.

Kelsie Davis, of the Chargers, was also named swimmer of the year.

For the Chargers, each swimmer placed third or better in all of their events.

Bonduel High School senior Ryan Westrich earned several Packerland Conference football honors, including defensive lineman of the year and defensive player of the year.

Westrich was also named to the all-conference first team for offense as a tight end/fullback and on defense as a defensive lineman.

Oconto Falls junior Lucy Ripley was named to the North Eastern Conference all-conference first team as an outside hitter, having been chosen as a unanimous selection.

Junior Izzy Otto was also named to the first team as a setter.

Named to the all-conference second team was senior libero Rylie Shallow.

Four Suring High School girls were named to the M&O Conference all-conference volleyball first team.

They were sophomore Aliya Cox, junior Lexis Remic, senior Chloe Schroeder and sophomore Ellayna Skarban.

Named to the second team were Lena junior Abby Kostreva and Gillett junior Audrey Pate.

Field position – especially in the first half – was not a problem for the Pulaski football team in its Division 2 playoff matchup with West De Pere.

The Red Raiders found themselves inside the Phantom 10-yard line four times in the first half but only had seven points to show for it.

Four Pulaski cross country runners wrapped up their season Nov. 1 at state.

Maggie Gerth and Emerson Fabry competed for the Red Raiders in the girls Division 1 race, while the boys race included Parker Marshall and Arden Gillen.

Gerth led Pulaski by placing 20th in 18:52.8, while Fabry crossed the finish line in 19:27.2, good for 54th place. Marshall placed 82nd in 16:59.3 in the boys race, while Gillen was 87th in 17:01.
