Waupoose, Burrack lead area runners in Iola

Menominee Nation’s Bryant Waupoose III placed fourth for the boys and Bonduel’s Lillian Burrack was fifth for the girls to pace area cross country runners in Iola.

In team competition, Bonduel’s 70 points were enough to place third among six teams. Bonduel’s girls scored 153 points and placed seventh among eight teams.

Rosinski, Hayes to lead Shawano boys basketball team

Shawano Community High School’s boys varsity basketball program in 2026-27 will be led by coach Rick Rosinski and assistant coach Jim Hayes, both recently hired by the district.

Rosinski has 23 seasons of varsity head coaching experience at Green Bay East and Green Bay Preble. Hayes has coached alongside Rosinski for 23 seasons — 20 at Green Bay East and three at Green Bay Preble — making the upcoming season their 24th together.

Former Hawk DePerry returns to Shawano girls basketball program as assistant coach

Shawano Community High School alum Tori DePerry will return to the school as the girls varsity assistant basketball coach.

A former Hawk student-athlete who went on to compete at the collegiate and professional levels, DePerry returns to Shawano with extensive playing experience, a strong understanding of the student-athlete experience and a desire to give back to the program that helped shape her.

Tigerton tops Bowler in conference opener

Tigerton 3, Bowler 0

Tigerton traveled to Bowler to compete in its first CWC North match of the season and returned home with a 3-0 win. Game scores were 25-10, 25-18, and 25-15.

Leading the Tigers were:

Kills: Presley Stewart-Rolfs 13, Renata Nordwig and Mya Smith with six each, and Eliana Michaelis with four.

Assists: Danika Tiller 18, Michaelis with eight.

Oconto Falls’ Borkovec has second-best score in Luxemburg

Oconto Falls golfers placed third with a 228 at Northbrook Golf and Grill in Luxemburg.

Riley Borkovec’s 47 was the second-best score of the day. Also scoring for the Panthers were Jadyn Saari 58, Chloe Anastasopoulos 61 and Emery Pagel 62.

Pulaski’s Wazniak gets hat trick in win over East

Pulaski 4, Green Bay East 1

The Red Raiders got a hat trick from Walker Wozniak and notched a 4-1 win over the visiting Red Devils from Green Bay East.

Pulaski got on the board early with a goal from Kevin Cruz Lagunes in the second minute of the game. Wozniak added goals in the 16th and 30th minute to help build a 3-0 halftime lead for Pulaski.

Pulaski tennis team shut down by Sheboygan North

Sheboygan North 7, Pulaski 0

Pulaski’s tennis team was shut out 7-0 by Sheboygan North, with the top two doubles teams playing three sets before coming up short.
