Robert (Bob) Jentink, 78, lost his nearly life-long battle with alcoholism on Sunday, Aug. 11, 2024. He was fortunate to be able to meet his goal of staying in his own home for so many years. Area agencies and private citizens collaborated Aug. 11 in rescuing several people — and their dog — after a sailboat capsized on the bay of Green Bay. According to a news release from Deputy Chief Ryan Pecha of Oconto Fire and Rescue, officials were notified around 1:34 p.m. that a sailboat had capsized with three or four adults in the water wearing life jackets, along with one dog.
