The Chargers scored two runs in the top of the ninth inning to defeat Iola-Scandinavia 12-10.

Zoey Thorson and Rory Salvesen each had home runs in the win. Brie Ladika hit a double.

Chloe Hanson recorded three RBIs, while Ladika, Salvesen and Jayda Moenke each had two.

Gavin Hundt hit 2-for-3 with three RBIs and three runs scored in Bonduel’s 17-1 dominating win over Menominee Nation.

Jackson Rudzinski hit 2-for-2 with three RBIs and a run scored, and Tucker Hischke hit 1-for-3 with three RBIs and a run scored.

Oconto Falls Stu Anderson Invitational

The Panthers fielded two teams and finished third and seventh among 11 teams at River Island Golf Course in Oconto Falls. Pulaski placed 10th.

Oconto Falls’ Dylan Clark scored 76, one of six golfers to tie for medalist honors.

Oconto Falls scored 327, with Oconto Falls 2 getting a 367 and Pulaski scoring 430.

The Pulaski girls soccer team traveled to West De Pere for a Fox River Classic Conference matchup and returned home with a 1-0 victory.

Maggie Gumina’s unassisted goal was the only score.

Goalkeeper Tatum Wentland had four saves in the shutout win. The Red Raiders improved to 7-5-2 on the season and 4-1-1 in the FRCC.

Shawano 6, Medford 1

Two singles matches went to three sets, and a doubles match had a tiebreaker, but the Shawano tennis team came out on top in all those and more in a 6-1 nonconference home victory over Medford.

Tanner Thiel defeated Ethan Kollmansberger 7-5, 1-6, 10-2;, and Everett Grover beat Ethan Jones 6-4, 2-6, 10-8.

Bay Conference Tour Stop #3

Shawano golfers scored 183 and finished sixth out of seven teams at Shamrock Heights Golf Course in New London.

The Hawks were led by Collin Dieck’s 43. Joining him on the links were T.J. Smith with 45, Duane Gristeau-Blanche with 47 and Levi Anobong with 48.

Many communities are concerned about either solar farms or data centers destroying their pristine country lifestyle.

In the Town of Pella, residents are worried about both of them at the same time. They packed Pella Town Hall for an information meeting May 12 — even resulting in some latecomers standing out in the rain with umbrellas so they could still hear the presentation about the threats that both provide.

Building new for all of the county government needs at once would not be a solid financial proposal, and that’s the main reason behind building a new courthouse west of the existing one, according to the consultant overseeing the project.

Kurt Berner, of The Samuels Group, addressed that concern and more at the public property committee meeting May 7.
