Sonya I. Adams, 90, of Clintonville, passed away May 23, 2025. Eberhardt-Stevenson Funeral Home and Crematory, Clintonville.

Emmie Jean Barke, 97, of Gillett, died peacefully at home on May 30, 2025. She was born Jan. 27, 1928, to Alfred and Clara (Koll) Barke. She married Arnold Barke on April 22, 1955, in Thomasville, Georgia. Emmie worked in Green Bay for Dr. Gallagher as a receptionist for 30 years, and she also helped manage her husband’s cedar post and lumbar business.

A second driver died after a crash in the Town of Little River the morning of May 16. On May 30, the Oconto County Sheriff’s Department released the traffic report from the crash, a collision between a passenger car and a pickup truck at the intersection of U.S.

• Clarence S. Trepanier, 76, Suring, pleaded no contest March 24 to second-degree recklessly endangering safety. Judge Michael Judge withheld sentencing May 28 and placed him on two years of probation with conditions. • Brett Joseph Bertrand, 44, Abrams, pleaded no contest March 18 to fleeing an officer in his vehicle and felony bail jumping.

May 29 Deputies responded to 39 incidents, including a disturbance on County Road J in the Town of Oconto, fraud on County Road S in the Town of Little Suamico, a weapon offense on County Road T in the Town of Townsend, harassment on Harley Street in Lena, three traffic stops, one traffic hazard, two traffic offenses, one citizen assist, four miscellaneous traffic incidents, two welfare checks; three 911 hangups and two open lines; one ambulance

• Bart R. Boivin, 54, Rochester, Minnesota, pleaded no contest May 28 to misdemeanor count of possession of THC. The charge was amended from a felony in a plea agreement. Judge Katherine Sloma levied fines and costs totaling $894. • Mark A. Kaufert, 40, Milwaukee, pleaded guilty May 30 to possession with intent to deliver cocaine.

Shawano County Sheriff’s Department June 1 Deputies responded to 29 incidents, including operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated near County Road M and Elm Road in the Town of Wittenberg; trespassing on state Highway 156 in the Town of Navarino; suspicious activity on state Highway 29 in the Town of Herman; burglary on North Warrington Avenue in the Town of Cecil; suspicious activity on East Town Hall Road in the Town of Red Springs; three 91

Klay Barkow struck out six batters over five innings while picking up the win on the mound and Zach Fehrman took the loss.

June 1 Navarino at Cecil No results were available from the Rangers’ trip to Cecil to face the Mudhens. The Navarino Ranger Athletic Association will hold a ceremony June 8 and rename the Rangers’ field in memory of the late Kevin “Covey” Conradt. The ceremony is set for 1 p.m. before the Rangers host the Bonduel Broncos at 1:30 p.m.
