Hugh D. Walker

Deacon Hugh Dyson Walker, Ph.D., passed to be with his Lord on Monday, Jan. 25, 2021. A Mass of Christian burial for Deacon Hugh was held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 28, 2021, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Burial will be in the spring at Guardian Angel Cemetery, with full military honors. Hugh (also known as Dyson) was born in Plymouth, New Hampshire, on Feb. 21, 1934, son of Hubert and Lena May (Bosence) Walker.

James Thunes passed away on Jan. 16, 2021, in the COVID unit of Luther Manor in Wauwatosa. Due to COVID-19, a private funeral for family will be held later in the year. He graduated from Menominee High School and served in the Army during the Korean War.

Stella Joyce Dunahee (nee Jeske) passed on to her reward on Dec. 25, 2020. Stella was born Aug. 20, 1944, at home in Cecil to Gilbert and Lelia Jeske. Upon graduation from Oconto Falls High School in 1962, she started her certified professional secretary career as a clerk-typist with the FBI in Washington D.C.

James A. “Jim” Winter, 81, of Shawano, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Jan. 20, 2021, at his home surrounded by his family. Jim was born Aug. 8, 1939, to the late Curt and Hildegarde (Schoenick) Winter in Shawano. Jim graduated from Shawano High School, then enlisted and proudly served in the United States Army. Frank J. Buss
Frank J. Buss, 92, longtime resident of Caroline, passed away at home with his family on Dec. 12, 2020 as a result of complications following surgery to repair a hip fracture. Frank was born in Caroline on Dec. 26, 1927, the son of Carolyn (Hartel) Buss and Frank Buss Sr. He attended grade school in Caroline and high school in Marion. He was active in band, debate, football, and school drama productions. He graduated as 1945 class salutatorian.
