SAM25 seeks new executive director

Shawano Area Matthew 25 is searching for its next executive director following the departure of Kendra Brusewitz, who accepted a new position with Safe Haven.

The Shawano nonprofit serves individuals experiencing homelessness and housing insecurity.

Wisconsin had 5.7 days suitable for fieldwork statewide for the week ending Aug. 2, according to the USDA’s National Agricultural Statistics Service. Southern and eastern portions of the state received much needed rainfall, while dry conditions continued in northwestern areas.

• Montana R. Olson, 29, Keshena, pleaded no contest July 29 to failure to report to county jail, two counts of possession of narcotic drugs, two counts of possession of an illegal article and two counts of felony bail jumping. Judge Katherine Sloma levied fines and sentenced her to 200 days in jail.

Oconto County Court News

• Christian Ian Eccles, 28, Shawano, pleaded no contest May 22 to theft from a corpse. Judge Jay Conley imposed then stayed a prison sentence July 27, then placed him on three years of probation with conditions.

• Heather L. Koutnik, 40, Peshtigo, pleaded no contest June 1 to misappropriating ID information to obtain money. Conley withheld sentencing July 28, then placed her on two years of probation with conditions.
