Sarah M. Kaquatosh, 39, of Neopit, unexpectedly began her journey to the Spirit World on Tuesday, June 17, 2014, surrounded by her loved ones. Sarah was born on Nov. 19, 1974, to the late Everette “Butch” Waupoose Sr. and Elmira “Jeannine” (Caldwell) Waupoose. She attended school at St. Anthony’s and Menominee Indian High School.

The Shawano County Finance Committee this week shot down an idea to use forfeited bail bond money for courthouse security projects. The resolution, which recommended taking $37,600 from the Maintenance Department budget and an estimated $9,800 to $17,000 annually from forfeited bonds in the future for the new fund, is not dead, though.
