Marliss-ann Lundquist, 76, of Mountain, passed away on Wednesday, March 4, 2015. Marliss was born to the late Curtis and Hilder (Grundsom) Hosking on Feb. 3, 1939. Marliss Hosking married Ned Lundquist on April 15, 1978, in West Allis.

Richard Przybylski, 84, a lifelong resident of Angelica, passed away Thursday, March 12, 2015, after a courageous battle with cancer, while listening to his favorite polka music at the farm on which he was born. His wife and his sons were at his side. Richard was very proud of his Polish heritage and the Pulaski area, and enjoyed Polka Days and Polish food. On Aug. 27, 1955, he married Phyllis Banaszynski at Assumption B.V.M. Church in Pulaski.

These are the days that make me wish I were 10 again. When I was 10, or anywhere around that age, these sunny, spring days would be spent running home from the one-room country school as fast as my legs could carry me. My brother and I would slam into the house through the kitchen, and up the stairs to our bedrooms, to change into our old clothes.

“We’ll fix a couple of drinking cups this morning.” It wasn’t a question, rather, a statement from husband. My heart sank. I hate fixing. It’s more of me standing around watching him fix or handing him tools or running for nuts or bolts or washers than any actual hands-on fixing.
