Authorities at Washington Middle School, 102 W. Washington St., reported five 12-year-old boys were found in possession of chewing tobacco April 17. The students were referred to juvenile authorities.
The Oconto Falls School Board will meet in executive session at 4:15 p.m. Thursday, May 7, in the Oconto Falls High School library to conduct final interviews for the superintendent position.

There were a number of blank stares last week in a meeting of Northeast Wisconsin superintendents, many of whom used the path around the Falls to gather at the CESA building in Gillett.

An Oconto Falls student has turned a second chance opportunity into a $3,000 scholarship for college.
Ben Gordon, a 19-year-old student at Falls Alternative Learning Site, will receive a $3,000 Herb Kohl Initiative Scholarship.
