Steve Jon Hammer, 49, Green Bay, passed away suddenly due to a heart related condition Tuesday, July 2, 2013. He was born Oct. 6, 1963, to Robert and Catherine (Schweers) Hammer. Antone Reiter, 71, of Neopit, passed away Monday, June 24, 2013, in Green Bay. Born on Jan. 17, 1942, in Keshena, he was the son of the late Antone Reiter and Alegra (Dick) Reiter. After attending high school, Antone enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and was stationed in Germany for four years. After his discharge, he was employed by the security department for the Menominee Tribe of Wisconsin until retiring.

A 56-year-old West Allis man drowned in Shawano Lake on Friday after trying to rescue his dog, the Shawano County Sheriff’s Department said. Steven Olewinski and his wife, Mary Jo, along with their dogs, were in a boat on the lake near Weber’s Point in the northwest corner of the lake. Shortly before 11:30 a.m., one of the dogs jumped into the water and Olewinski went in to retrieve it, the Sheriff’s Department said.
