All Arts Day 2015 was held April 1 at Oconto Falls Elementary School. Many artistic forms of expression were experienced by students, including music, theater, dance and applied art. The Tonantzin Dance Company started the day with a morning assembly of dancing and history of the Aztec culture.

A few nights ago, we watched a Tom Selleck movie called “Twelve Mile Road.” It was about a divorced farmer living on a farm in Oregon whose girlfriend and teenage daughter move in with him at about the time that his wild and unpredictable daughter comes to spend the summer on the farm. It was a so-so movie, fairly predictable, but nonetheless entertaining.

Shawano Police Department April 26 Police logged 21 incidents, including the following: Disturbance — Police responded to a report of a fight in progress in the 100 block of South Main Street. Vandalism — Police responded to a vandalism complaint at the Shawano Recreation Center, 220 E.

The Green Bay Packers on Monday announced the organization will honor two of its all-time greats – Brett Favre and Ron Wolf – in halftime ceremonies during the 2015 season. Wolf’s name will be unveiled next to fellow Pro Football Hall of Famers on the stadium’s east side Nov. 15. Favre’s name and retired No. 4 will be unveiled on Lambeau Field’s north façade Nov.

St. Paul Lutheran School Under the direction of Deb Guenterberg, the third week of Prevea’s “Love to Run” program is nearly complete. The goal for last week was to run about 12 to 15 minutes without stopping, and this week we increased the time slightly. The weather has been perfect and warm for running! St. Paul has been participating in this program since 2013.

For the past few weeks, I have taken a few strolls around the yard to see what is growing. My crocuses finally came up and bloomed. Now my daffodils are trying to bloom. Of course, they prefer sun, and this week there have been mainly clouds, and even some snow showers.
