Friday night races planned at Shawano Speedway
Back-to-back nights of racing at the Shawano Speedway are planned for June 13-14. The Outagamie Speedway is hosting a truck pull instead of its normal schedule of racing June 13, so officials at the Shawano track decided to step in and host a night of racing to fill the void. Hawks golfers take third at Bay Conference Championship
May 20 Bay Conference Championship Shawano’s golfers placed sixth with a 180 score at Chaska Golf Course in Greenville. Blake Knope had the best score for the Hawks, a total 41. Duane Gristeau-Blanche and Jakob Stuhr each scored a 46, and T.J. Smith had a 47. Brayden Mead also carded a 49. Thornberry Invite It was a cold and windy venue, but scores didn’t reflect that.
Pulaski ends regular season with a win
May 20 Pulaski 12, Notre Dame 0 Pulaski closed out its regular season with a 12-0 shutout of Notre Dame. The Red Raiders finished in fourth place in the Fox River Classic Conference with a 12-6 record. The team was 15-10 overall.
Pulaski lacrosse teams still without a win this year
May 20 Appleton United 18, Pulaski 2 (boys) The Red Raiders boys lacrosse team fell to 0-6 in the Bay Valley Conference following its 18-2 loss to Appleton United. Appleton United 13, Pulaski 1 (girls) The Pulaski girls team is also 0-6 in the Bay Valley Conference after losing 13-1 to Appleton United.

Bonduel wins home golf invite by 1 stroke
May 19 Bonduel Invitational Lena’s Mason Spice tied for medalist honors with a 75, and Bonduel won the team competition at Golden Sands Golf Course in Cecil. Spice tied with Cole Haeuser of Weyauwega-Fremont. Bonduel had a team score of 344, edging out Lena with a 345. Marion was third with 351, and Menominee Nation/Gresham was sixth with 366.
Manawa defeats Bonduel in seventh inning
May 19 Wittenberg-Birnamwood 10, Shiocton 2 Wittenberg-Birnamwood closed out its regular season with a 10-2 wi over Shiocton. The Chargers ended in third place at 10-4 in the CWC East. Manawa 5, Bonduel 4 Manawa scored a pair of runs in the bottom of the seventh to defeat Bonduel 5-4 and the lead in the CWC East. May 19 Bonduel 15, Manawa 2 Bonduel went to Manawa and pounded out a 15-2 win against the Wolves. Joe Felhofer led the Bears with three hits and four RBIs.
