Community members who want to make a difference in the lives of local families are invited to join the planning committee for Empty Bowls, Caring Hearts 2026, a fundraising event benefiting Shawano Area Matthew 25.

The event will take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 19 at Shawano Community High School, 220 County Road B, Shawano, but organizers are seeking volunteers now to help make this community fundraiser a success.

The Oconto County Historical Society will hold its annual pie and ice cream social and elegant junque sale June 14.
