Shawano Police Department purchases e-bikes

Davel retiring as county courthouse leader
Jim Davel, who has served as Shawano County administrative coordinator for four years, will retire Jan. 5, 2026. “I worked for the county for seven years, served in the Army for 30 years,” he said.

Clerk hired while deputy clerk quits
Even before executive committee members agreed to hire Raymond Rigsby as the new county clerk, they were informed they will need to hire a new deputy clerk as well. Erica Davel, the deputy clerk, quit, and her last day of employment was June 27. Davel is the sixth high-level employee to quit within the past four months.
