As summer comes to an end, it’s time to prepare landscapes for fall and winter. Proper fall care helps increase plants’ winter survival, supports pollinators and promotes the overall health, longevity and beauty of a landscape.

The Wittenberg Area Historical Society has received a $5,000 donation from the Wisconsin Deerhunters, Inc. Witt-Birn Chapter to help support the renovation of the society’s newly acquired Heritage Center.

The donation will be used toward the ongoing renovation and improvements needed to transform the building into a space dedicated to preserving and sharing the history of the Wittenberg area and its surrounding communities.

Northcentral Technical College will host parents and students in grades 9-11 Sept. 30 from 5-6:30 p.m. at the NTC Wausau campus.

This event is designed to help families discover opportunities that can enhance the high school experience and support career exploration.
