Chargers, Bears win in shutouts

Wittenberg-Birnamwood 14, Xavier 0

Wittenberg-Birnamwood girls softball showed why they are seeded first in their Division 3 sectional, defeating No. 8 seed Xavier 14-0.

Rory Salvesen led the Chargers, hitting 3-for-3 with four RBIs and three runs scored.

Brie Ladika was 3-for-4 with two RBIs and two runs scored.

Red Raiders beat Raiders on baseball diamond

Pulaski 13, Sheboygan North 7

Braun Wotruba hit a home run, and Gavin Sikorski and Eddie Van Roy each had two hits in the Red Raiders’ 13-7 win over the Raiders.

Matt Heck had three RBIs, and Eli Heuser and Wotruba each had two.

Wotruba was the winning pitcher. In three innings, he gave up five runs on six hits, walked three and struck out three.

Shawano soccer comes up short on the road

Fox Valley Lutheran defeated Shawano 3-1 in a nonconference game. The Hawks dropped to 7-9-1.

Pulaski boys lacrosse season ends in shutout loss

Pulaski’s boys lacrosse season ended with an 11-0 shutout at the hands of Bay Port in the opening round of WIAA regional action.

Leopolis edges Caroline in BABA matchup

Leopolis, Little Falls, Caroline and Gresham picked up BABA wins over the Memorial Day weekend.

West Division

Leopolis 5, Caroline 4

Jackson Krohn and Brady Hannes had two hits to help Leopolis defeat the Cougars.

Klay Barkow and Klay Finger led Caroline with two hits.

Pulaski needs 12 innings to top Cecil

The Memorial Day weekend meant Dairyland League baseball games were played May 21 or May 22 instead of May 24.

Pulaski and Bonduel picked up wins over Cecil and Hofa Park, respectively, May 22, while Navarino defeated Marinette on May 21. Hortonville also hosted Shawano on May 22, but a final score was not reported.
