Florence Mae (Phalen) Schmidt, 94, of Shawano, met her Heavenly Father on Tuesday, Aug. 17, 2021, after a life full of love and family. She was born in Shawano on May 27, 1927, to the late John and Dagmar (Sorensen) Phalen. She attended Shawano High School and worked for years at Spurgeon’s creating the merchandise displays in the front window facing Main Street. Florence was united in marriage to Norman A.
Donald E. Hull
Donald E. Hull, 88, of Wittenberg, passed away on Friday, Aug. 13, 2021. Don was born May 6, 1933, the son of Eldred and Mary (Harning) Hull. Don was a United States Army veteran, serving from March 1953 until March 1955 during the Korean War. He was a member of the Bloecher-Johnson American Legion Post 502 for over 66 years. Brian J. Krueger Sr.
Brian J. Krueger Sr., 59, of Shawano, passed away on Monday, Aug. 9, 2021, in Shawano. Brian was born in Shawano on Dec. 31, 1961, son of the late Fred and Lenora (Laude) Krueger. Following high school, Brian served his country honorably in the United States military. He was a true outdoorsman who felt at peace in the woods.
Karen A. Reinke
Karen A. Reinke, 81, of Grafton, passed away on Aug. 13, 2021. She was born in Shawano on Oct. 2, 1939, to Harry and Vivian (nee Feldt) Katzenmeyer. On Nov. 9, 1957, Karen was united in marriage to William L. Reinke. Her 56 years of marriage to Bill were filled with raising their family, traveling and living in Alaska, Seattle and Wisconsin. Karen was a homemaker who loved taking care of her family.
Larry D. Clark
Larry D. Clark, 80, of Clintonville, formerly of Shawano, passed into the arms of Jesus surrounded by family at Shawano Health Services on Saturday morning, Aug. 14, 2021. Larry was born Nov. 5, 1940, as the son of the late Frederick and Mildred (Roloff) Clark. He grew up on a farm west of Shawano and as a young man faithfully served his country in the United States Army.
Sharon C. Becker
Sharon C. Becker, 76, passed away recently at Kindred Hearts in Quincy, Illinois. She was born June 30, 1945, in Chicago to Charles and Ethel Cole. She was raised in Chicago but moved to Wisconsin in November 2020. She attended Victory Fellowship Church. She loved to go to church and was very devoted to her friends, Sue, Tess and Linda. Sharon was one feisty, loving and giving woman.
Glenda M. Tahmahkera
Glenda M. Tahmahkera, 86, of Keshena, passed away early Monday morning, Aug. 9, 2021, at Shawano Health Services. Glenda was born Oct. 28, 1934, in Keshena, a daughter of Henry M. and Josephine (Wishecoby) Dodge. She attended St. Joseph School for eight years then attended Shawano High School, graduating with the Class of 1953.
