Colonoscopies now recommended at age 45
According to the American Cancer Society (ACS), excluding skin cancers, colorectal cancer is the third most common cancer diagnosed in both men and women in the United States. The ACS estimates that, in 2022, there will be more than 106,000 new cases of colon cancer diagnosed. National health organizations, including the ACS and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), recommend regular colon cancer screenings, beginning at age 45.

Hog producers have new deadline for applications
Hog producers who sold hogs through a spot market sale during the COVID-19 pandemic now have until April 15 to submit their applications for the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Spot Market Hog Pandemic Program. SMHPP, which is part of USDA’s Pandemic Assistance for Producers initiative, originally had a deadline to submit applications by Feb.
AFIDA requires foreign investors to report holdings
U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Farm Service Agency (FSA) Executive Director Nancy Swenty in Oconto and Marinette counties is reminding foreign investors with an interest in agricultural lands in the United States that they are required to report their land holdings and transactions to USDA.
