Gillett girls top Lena by 18 points
The Gillett Secondary School girls basketball team beat Lena 42-24 in a Marinette and Oconto Conference game Friday in Lena.
Kara Brennan led Gillett (3-6, 3-2 M&O) with 12 points.
Melissa Bushmaker scored 11 points to lead Lena (4-4, 3-3 M&O).
Suring girls defeat STAA
The Suring High School girls basketball team got a 58-25 victory over Marinette St. Thomas Aquinas on Thursday in Marinette.
Kelsey School led Suring (5-2, 4-1 Marinette & Oconto) with 15 points. Breanna Tienor added 12 and Erin Fisher scored 10.
Riley Schultz scored 11 to lead STAA (1-7, 0-6 M&O).
Gillett blown out by Oconto
The Gillett Secondary School boys basketball team lost to Oconto 73-22 in a nonconference game Friday in Gillett.
Dylan Roberts and Dan Torres led Gillett (3-7, 2-3 Marinette & Oconto) with nine points each in the loss to Oconto (8-3, 3-3 Packerland).
Suring edged by Crivitz
The Suring High School boys basketball team lost 37-36 to Crivitz in a Marinette and Oconto Conference game Friday in Suring.
Dillon Kempen’s 13 points led Suring (3-6, 1-5 M&O). Tyler Fisher added 10.
Jeremy Krazowitz led Crivitz (8-1, 5-1 M&O) with 16 points.
Lena boys fall to Wausaukee
The Lena High School boys basketball team lost to Marinette and Oconto Conference foe Wausaukee 71-30 Friday in Wausaukee.
Hunter Borchert scored 14 points to lead Lena (1-9, 0-5 M&O).
Austin Guarniere led Wausaukee (9-2, 5-1 M&O) with 16 points.
