Hawks stay in 1st place with win The Shawano Community High School boys basketball team got a 69-36 win over Marinette on the road Thursday to stay perfect atop the Bay Conference standings. Jack Lacy scored 13 points to lead Shawano (8-2, 6-0 Bay). Zeke Gueths led the team with eight rebounds. Marcus Maguire led Marinette (1-8, 1-4 Bay) with 13 points. Shawano girls fall to L-C The Shawano Community High School girls basketball team lost to Luxemburg-Casco 49-39 in a Bay Conference game Thursday in Luxemburg. Brianna Boda led Shawano (1-8, 1-5 Bay) with seven points. Teagan Monfils led the team with five rebounds. Kayla Hokenstad had six points and four rebounds. Bowler tops Menominee Indian The Bowler High School girls basketball team beat Menominee Indian 42-36 in a Central Wisconsin Conference-10 game Thursday in Bowler. Ashlynn Brisk had 21 points, 14 rebounds, 12 steals and seven assists to lead Bowler (4-5, 3-4 CWC-10) Sasha Peters led Menominee Indian (3-5, 2-3 CWC-10) with 10 points. In junior varsity action, Bowler beat Menominee Indian 31-10. Tigerton tops Almond-Bancroft The Tigerton High School girls basketball team beat Almond-Bancroft 38-33 Thursday in Tigerton. Erin Robbins led Tigerton (2-5, 1-4 Central Wisconsin Conference-10) with 14 points. Katie Watters had 15 rebounds. Other scores Girls basketball: Clintonville lost to Waupaca 39-36.
