Peggy Jo Pederson, 57, of the town of Herman, passed away Sunday, Jan. 5, 2014, in Appleton. Born on July 11, 1956, in Appleton, she was the daughter of the late Leonard and Dorothy (Ganski) Olsen.
On April 21, 1979, she was united in marriage to Orlin Pederson in Shawano. Together the couple ran Pederson Bar in Leopolis for several years. Peggy also worked at T&C Supermarket for 15 years and Walgreens for 10 years. When not at work, she enjoyed reading, cooking and playing cribbage. Peggy was a member of the St. John’s Lutheran Church in Leopolis.
Peggy is survived by her husband of 34 years, Orlie; her siblings, Pat Martin, of Darboy, and her children, Robin, Tim, Kelly, Tracy, Jody and Shawn; Pam (Mike) Burnett, of Darboy, and their children, Alex and Lauren; Leonard (Yvonne) Olsen, of Manawa; and Bea (Wes) Fenske, of Florida; and her mother-in-law, Shirley Aschenbrenner, of Shawano.
Peggy was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Rae Besaw.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 11, 2014, at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church near Marion with the Rev. Dennis Creswell officiating. Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service. Peggy’s final resting place will be at the St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery in the spring.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano is assisting the family with the arrangements.
