Cecil, Bonduel win Dairyland openers

Cecil and Bonduel opened Dairyland League baseball play with road wins May 3.

Bonduel handed Nichols a 22-5 loss, while Cecil topped Marinette 8-5 in the first weekend of games.

Meanwhile, BABA teams will open division play May 10.

Oconto Falls dropped both games in a doubleheader to Little Chute 12-1 and 5-2.

In the first game, Trace Brehmer hit 2-for-2 with a walk, and Logan Berg was 1-for-3 with a run scored.

Pulaski’s girls collected 81 points and placed third among 16 teams in Brookfield, while the boys had 62 points and placed fourth among 23 teams.

Emerson Fabry won the 800-meter run in 2:33.19 and the 1,600-meter run in 5:13.22.

Maggie Gerth won the 3,200-meter run in 11:23.13.

Pulaski golfers placed sixth and Oconto Falls was 26th among 32 teams at The Club at Lac La Belle near Oconomowoc.

The Red Raiders tallied 316, and the Panthers scored 365.

Pulaski junior Bradin Schultz scored 73, tied for the fourth-best score. Also scoring for Pulaski were Brady Hayward at 75, Ben Klarner at 83 and Casey Madlem at 85.
