Edith Josephine (nee Baker) Weix, 97, of Bonduel, passed away Friday, Jan. 3, 2014, in Bonduel. Born on Aug. 1, 1916, in Salem, near Maiden Rock, she was the daughter of the late Frank and May (Roeteh) Baker.
On Aug. 21, 1939, she was united in marriage to Frank S. Weix in Elmwood. The couple lived in Durand, Bear Creek and Almond before making their final moved to Bonduel. Edith enjoyed being a housewife and mother to her beloved children. In her free time she enjoyed antiquing and viewing artwork. Edith’s family and friends were blessed to have her with them for as long as they did, and she will be truly missed by them all.
Edith is survived by four daughters, Judy Weix, of Bonduel, Boni Vedder, of Neenah, Toni Stamborski, of Muskego, Dori Coetzee, of Huntington Beach, Calif.; a son, Frank M. Weix, of Bonduel; 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Edith was preceded in death by her husband, Frank, on July 16, 2001; a daughter-in-law, Mary Weix; her parents; a sister; and four brothers.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 9, 2014, at St. Martin’s Catholic Church in Cecil with Deacon Mike Grzeca officiating. Entombment will be in the Sacred Heart Mausoleum in Shawano. Visitation will be held at the church in Cecil on Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service.
