Brisk has triple-double against Gresham
A career day from Ashlynn Brisk helped the Bowler High School girls basketball team beat Gresham 42-33 in a Central Wisconsin Conference-10 game Friday in Gresham.
Brisk recorded 27 points, 14 steals, 13 rebounds and six assists for the Panthers (2-4, 1-3 CWC-10) in the win over Gresham (0-9, 0-5 CWC-10). Kristina Kroenig added 10 rebounds.
Chargers win low-scoring game
The Wittenberg-Birnamwood High School girls basketball team beat Central Wisconsin Conference-8 foe Shiocton 27-21 Friday in Wittenberg.
Mikayla Hartman led the Chargers (8-1, 4-0 CWC-8) with 10 points. Micah Nier added nine.
Jordan Elliott and Madi Morack led Shiocton (5-3, 2-2 CWC-8) with four points each.
Truckers fall to Winneconne
The Clintonville High School girls basketball team lost to Winneconne 46-40 in a Eastern Valley Conference matchup Friday in Clintonville.
Autumn Voight and Caitie Carpenter led the Truckers (1-8, 0-5 Eastern Valley) with 11 points each.
Holly Van Dam and MaryJane Behm each had 11 points for Winneconne (2-5, 2-4 Eastern Valley).
Hawks swimmers beat Tomahawk
The Shawano Community High School boys swim team beat Tomahawk 99-70 in a meet Thursday in Tomahawk.
Zach Soper took first in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 56.97. He was also first in the 100 butterfly with a time of 57.97.
Also winning events were Rolando Colon (200 freestyle, 2:10.45), Griffin Rades (200 individual medley, 2:20.64), Jake Klister (50 freestyle, 24.58), Adrian Tetting (500 freestyle, 6:09.77) and Christian Kane (100 breaststroke, 1:13.79).
Shawano also took firsts in the 200 individual medley relay (Rades, Kane, Colon and Klister; 1:55.95), the 200 freestyle relay (Klister, Kane, Tetting and Soper; 1:43.20) and the 400 freestyle relay (Rades, Colon, Soper, Tetting; 3:43.08).
Other scores
Boys basketball: Wittenberg-Birnamwood lost to Shiocton 62-42. Bonduel topped Weyauwega-Fremont 55-46.
