Chargers second at Bluejay Challenge The Wittenberg-Birnamwood High School wrestling team took second Saturday at the Bluejay Challenge in Merrill. Merrill won the tournament with 538 points. The Chargers finished with 488. Menominee Indian (138) finished 16th. Wittenberg-Birnamwood’s Ben Vosters won the 120-pound championship with a 2-0 decision over Adams-Friendship’s Cole Clark. John White Wing (285), Stetson Potrykus (106) and Braxton Potrykus (160) finished in second place for the Chargers. Kyle Winker was Menominee Indian’s top wrestler, taking third in the 126-pound bracket. Clintonville 7th at Evergreen Invitational The Clintonville High School wrestling team took seventh at the Fred Lehrke Evergreen Invitational wrestling tournament Saturday in Weston. Pulaski (377) won the tournament, followed by D.C. Everest (327). Clintonville finished with a score of 88. Jake Reiter took second for Clintonville, losing the 195-pound championship match 3-2 to Dondrick Tackes of Stratford. Charlie Poppe (170) took third. Marion rallies to beat Bowler The Marion High School boys basketball team rallied from being down 23-8 to beat Bowler 45-41 in a Central Wisconsin Conference-10 game Monday in Marion. Cole Drefahl scored 20 points for Marion (3-8, 3-4 CWC-10). Clay Detert added 14. Cody Montez scored 16 points to lead Bowler (2-8, 1-6 CWC-10).
