Bonudel girls dominate Pacelli

The Bonduel High School girls basketball team beat Stevens Point Pacelli 72-27 in a Central Wisconsin Conference-8 game Friday in Stevens Point. “Last year Pacelli kind of took it to us, beat us once last year and then we won a close game,” Bonduel coach Missy Dowden said. “So the girls were fired up tonight.” Jennifer Dowden led Bonduel (8-1, 4-1 CWC-8) with 20 points and 13 rebounds. Courtney Schmidt and Deanna Zernicke each added 10 points. Ten of the 11 girls on the varsity scored for Bonduel. Sami Kay Shafranski and Hannah Raflik led Pacelli (1-8, 1-4 CWC-8) with six points each. The Bears outrebounded the Cardinals 47-18. “We were able to try some different things tonight and work on some stuff,” Missy Dowden said.
