Dorothy M. Bubb, 90, Oconto Falls, died Saturday evening, Jan. 4, 2014, at the Woodlands of Gillett. She was born Dec. 6, 1923, in Oconto Falls to Albert and Hattie (Sell) Montie and grew up in the area.
On Dec. 14, 1940, she married Jerome Bubb in Marinette. Dorothy lived for most of her life in rural Oconto Falls where she enjoyed tending her large flower and vegetable gardens. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church.
Survivors are two children, Betsy Kroening, Gillett, and Jerome (Joyce) Bubb Jr., Suring; 11 grandchildren, many great- and great-great-grandchildren; one son-in-law, Peter Winkler, La Crosse.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jerome, in 1998; a daughter, Joan Winkler; infant daughter, Diane Lee; two grandchildren; two sisters, Adeline Coopman and Verna Ratz; and two brothers, Carl and George Montie.
Visitation will be held after 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 10, at Grace Lutheran Church in Oconto Falls until the time of the service. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the church with Pastor Larry Bong officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Oconto Falls.
