Peshtigo holds Gillett girls to 14 points

The Gillett Secondary School girls basketball team lost to Peshtigo 42-14 in a Marinette & Oconto Conference game Friday in Peshtigo. Peshtigo (6-1, 5-0 M&O) built a 10-4 lead in the first quarter and was up 18-6 by halftime. Nicole Rotter led Gillett (2-6, 2-2 M&O) with six points. Amanda Majewski, Teja Tonn and Nicole Motkowski led Peshtigo with seven points each. Gillett was set to face Southern Door (5-4, 3-2 Packerland) on Monday, but extremely cold weather led to the game being canceled.
